Saignée (“sohn-yay”) meaning “to bleed,” a method of rosé winemaking that involves “bleeding” off a portion of red wine juice after it’s been in contact with the skins and seeds. Still, Saignée is a unique style of rosé wine that has resulted in a bolder than any other rosé wine. A rosé that exhibits an inviting light-reddish coral color. The nose is echoed by a light and limey feel, followed by raspberries, quince, and watermelon fruit.
