"Thunderstone" a tale about people who believed that the stone age hand axes that were found were the result of lightning striking the soil and shaping these rocks. The Dutch called them “Dondersteentjies”. This Chardonnay is a great expression of Stellenbosch terroir. This fruit-driven wine is an enjoyable balance of vibrant aromas and layers of texture from the extended lees contact. The nose is driven by white stone fruit and citrus notes. The gentle oak lingers on the palate along with a fresh minerality and fruit driven core.
